Date needed for identification of possible Wilkinson Wedding party
« on: Tuesday 01 March 22 03:02 GMT (UK) »
Hi All

I think I know who the bride and groom are but hoping a date will confirm this. I have two wedding dates (that I think are possibilities), so a more accurate time frame would be very useful in narrowing down their identities.

Many thanks for looking.

Thanks Shaun!  1941 is the date I'm looking at which is pretty close to late 1930s!  :)

Appreciate you taking the time to respond!

Cheers

I've got a part 2 to this as well.  I've pretty much convinced myself that the young bridesmaid is the same as this young girl but as always, worried I'm seeing what I want to see!

Anyone agree that they are the same girl?

These two do you mean?

Do see a slight likeness but...

Hi Japeflakes

I think they are the same girl but that could just be because I want them to be, if that makes sense!  :)  Unfortunately I don't have the originals to get better scans so the result is inconclusive.

Thanks heaps for your input!

They looks very much the same girl, Caz. I'd really like to see the nose more clearly though. The hairline looks very similar.

Just seen that you needed a date. I think it looks 1940s*. It's very similar to some of mine of that era. Also the groom's uniform,

Good to see you back  ;)

* Just looked up the date of marriage of one of the pics that I was thinking of -  Q2 1942  :)

I agree with 40s for the group photo but have my doubts about the two girls being the same, I think the second photo could have been take earlier than the group photo  :-\
Nice photos Caz.
