Anna's last name (Czech), but record is in Latin. STRAKA family.

Hi all,

Here is a baptism from Votice , a village which is south of Prague, in central Czechia. It is for Josef, on the 5th March 1782, house 19,  son of Matthias (in Czech Matěj) STRAKA and Anna  - does it say Czěrnoski(n) or Czěmovski(n), parish of Ottitz (Votice now). I assume the " n" is a feminine ending, now it would be replaced with "ova"

The Straka family (name means Magpie in English) seemed to have a monopoly on the furrier trade in that village . Matěj was the son of Jan Straka, and is my 4xgtgrandfather. They later lived in House 20 . A daughter of Matěj was called Barbora b. 1801 from his second marriage to wife  Anna Chvojka, and she moved to Benešov u Prahy around 1834 with her husband Matěj Berger. The Bergers were tanners for a few generations back. I have traced the Bergers back to Chrudim in the 1600's.

Thanks Dave,
I wish they would write a bit more clearly, with fewer flourishes.
