Birth registered March 1896

Carlisle    Lavinia May        Christchurch    2b   657

There is a marriage for a May Florence Carlisle in 1918 but the birth date on later records is not the same as Lavinia May Carlisle

1918 marriage - Florence Carlisle was a witness and May Florence's father named as Charles Edward (deceased).

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
