James Thorley b c 1794 Thorne

Trying to find James Thorley baptism b c 1794 in Thorne . I've checked several sites but can't find anything. I have him on the censuses, also his marriage etc but no birth, trying to find his parents.

moira -- I can't find a baptism for James, but noticed that a few children named Thurlow were being baptised in Thorne around the time of James' baptism.

John 1793 son of William Thurlow and Amelia nee Moxon.

Thomas 1796 son of William Thurlow and Ann nee Newbolt

Susannah 1798 daughter of Richard Thurlow and Mary nee Rowwood

Mary 1799 daughter of William Thurlow and Ann nee Newbolt

Can't see a James though. Actually these registers are almost like 'Dade' registers, as they give the mother's name and her father's name.

What did James name his eldest son? I suppose I'm grasping at straws, thinking the surname may have morphed from Thurlow to Thorley - but unlikely.

(I also checked non-conformist baptisms, but he didn't crop up there either). Maybe some Hawk Eye on here will come up with something for you.

If he is the James married to Ann Sanderson then his YoB in the census is more often c1791. 

His age at death puts his YoB even earlier, at c1788:
