4 Northcote Avenue, Dun Laoghaire
« on: Tuesday 08 March 22 13:47 GMT (UK) »
Hi, this is a weird one for you.

I was wondering if anyone has had any findings on the above address as I have discovered both sides of my family have used this address but it was at a time that there was no connection between them.

I am starting to think that it was a Mother and Baby home?

Any light shed would be great.

Thanks,

on the census building return form one of the at site 2, is described as a 'Rescue Home' -  I think the dittos are incorrect an refer to private dwellings

The rescue home is also mentioned at this link

Interesting, athacliath62. So perhaps the OP has the wrong house number or the numbers changed at some point? #4 is the household I linked earlier whereas the Rescue House is listed as #2 Northcote Ave.
