Ancestry of Henry Biggs (1843 - 1896) of Romsey?
« on: Wednesday 09 March 22 18:32 GMT (UK) »
Hi all,

I am looking into an ancestor of mine, Henry Biggs, baptised on 12 May 1844 in Romsey. I would like to trace his ancestry further back.

In his baptism record, his parents' names are listed as Henry and Ann. I've found a Henry Biggs and an Ann Emery were married on 19 August 1828 in Winchester, and they were both still alive as of the 1861 census. I can't find their death records.

If anyone can help me locate those, as well as tracing the Biggs and Emery lines back further, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you Crisane, Alan, and Carole for your help.

I think I've found Ann Emery's parents. She was born on 24 June 1808 and baptised exactly one month later; her parents' names are listed as Robert and Hannah.

I found a Robert Emery and Hannah Williams were married on 2 November 1802 in Winchester. Can anyone help trace their ancestry further back?

As this post is about Henry Biggs it may be best if you raised a separate post about Ann Emery to avoid confusion

You need to include the reference to this post to avoid any duplication
