Casway farm in Kirkgunzeon

Has anyone come across a farm or house in Kirkgunzeon called (in the late 1700s and early 1800s) Casway, Cassway and once recorded as Cassair. And then in the horse tax records as Casway otherwise known as Over Cossock.

Looks as if it is the place marked as 'Causey (site of)' on this map, surveyed in 1850-1851

Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

The Ainslie map that I have linked to in Reply #1 is dated 1797.  My ancestors were in that area then  :)
