Have you researched the address / surnames as far back on census' as is possible &/or anything else to do with the property?

The only thing I've found is this:-

Master Mason will create his own Mark, as a type of unique signature or identifying badge. Some of these can be quite elaborate.

Ƨ (minuscule: ƨ) is a letter of the Latin alphabet; depending on the context in which the letter is used, it is based on the numeral 2 or the Latin letter S.

Maybe it's a date?

I did wonder about a  date but couldn't work out what date it might be.

The only thing I could find for a reversed C is that it is called an anti-sigma, or a reversed lunate sigma (whatever that is!).
