Non Paternity Event - the expected father was not the father.

This could also be the result for an adopted child.

I have to say I thought NPE referred to a Non Parental Event so that it would relate to either a male or a female.

i agree non parental so mothers line could also be unexpected

i think i may have accidently revealed that someone has a suspect tree when i was excited and surprised to find she is a distant match to my scottish fathers side and european lineof my mothers grandfather

i  naively asked about her ethnicity as well as origins..i dont think shed actually looked at that but is about a quarter scottish and 50% jewish
she now tells me both her lines were catholic  canadians.
i would suspect one adopted parent of but could be wrong
