From military records on Ancestry - William was born in Shankill, Belfast.  Also a mention in the pension records available on Fold3 (I don't have access) of next of kin - William Porter and Edith Goode (Aunt).

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Hi  no where  is the age of William Porter listed when he was killed 1/7/1916 i was surprised on the 'Death Penny'  only his name is on it
