Sarah Elizabeth Newby whit

I am looking for the parents of Elizabeth who was born in kings Lynn.  On her wedding certificate on the 8th jan 1860 her father is recorded as John Whit a sailor. I have not been able to find out anything about her family although I did find a Robert Charles Newby Witt born in 1868.
Any help gratefully received.
