Dolan Athlone

I am trying to find some information about my maternal grandfather named Eugene Dolan born in Athlone around 1908 and died in 1977. He met and married my grandmother Kathleen Dolan from Strangford Co Down although they lived in Birmingham for some years, they returned to Co Down where my mother Euphemia was born in 1943. He returned to Birmingham and as far as I aware remained there until his death in 1977. I would love to know if we have any relatives in Athlone or if anyone would know the family.

The only Eugene Dolan born in Ireland between 1906 and 1911 was this one.

Do you have the marriage certificate for your grandfather Eugene? What was his father's name and occupation?

He was Eugene P Dolan & he married Kathleen Curran June qtr 1940 Birmingham 6d 1646

You will find him on the 1939 living in Somerset - birthyear 1907

There is this 1911 entry but you would need the 1940 marriage cert to confirm his fathers name
