Will 2018
« on: Friday 25 March 22 15:45 GMT (UK) »
Sent for the will of someone who died in 2018.

Have got one sheet of information showing names of Executors and the amount deceased left.

No information about beneficiaries.          Have I ordered it incorrectly on-line or are 'modern' wills  ot accessible ?

Could be yet another blunder by HMCTS.  If you pay for a will - that’s what you should get.

I have just turned up my brothers 2020 entry & note they have changed the wording in the box from  “grant & will” to “probate”. What entry is on the website for yours?

EDIT

just noticed an entry which says ADMON/WILL.  Educational standards have slipped haven’t they ::)

I may be wrong, but I think "Admon" is the abbreviation used in this context for "administration"?

My letter to the CEO of HMCTS posted yesterday comments on the "new HMCTS alphabet" not being on any educational curriculum.  What a pity I didn't know about this one at the time🙄

We appear to be back in the 16th century with the use of ADMON??  Old site used "Administration"

:D  Admon  :D  Yes,  that is correct spelling.

I agree with Sue.

See also https://www.gov.uk/search-will-probate particularly where it mentions :

Probate records that include a will
Not all probate records contain a will. Check the type of grant of representation when you search.

The grant types that contain a will include:

‘Probate’ or ‘Grant and Will’
Admon with Will’ or ‘Grant and Will’
‘Administration (Admon) or Grant’ does not contain a will.

JM - PS, In NSW Australia the use of the word "Admon" is well known when handling Probate matters.

Thanks Majm.  For years it’s been “Administration” on the old site which is logical & a word understood by everybody.  The documents issued in those circumstances show “ Administration”.

Suddenly - we have “Admon” which to people born in more recent times appears to be a spelling error - particularly given the other issues with the new site.

Oddly enough the 1 Page naming Executors and showing amount left came via e-mail the day after my request.
