I am trying to confirm the parents of Jane Hendley who married Thomas Viney, 1866, in Nether Wallop. FamilySearch and some other sites list her parents as James & Eliza, and her birth year as 1847. However there is a second Jane Hendley born in Nether Wallop c1844 to a Henry & Maria, and another marriage between a Jane Hendley and Henry Stone in 1864 also in Nether Wallop. I cannot find any firm evidence in the free resources that confirms which Jane married which man.
The subsequent census records for both of the Janes give birth years that vary wildly, so these don't help to confirm which is which. The most probable death records have Jane Viney's death in 1916, age 74, birth ~1841-42, and Jane Stone's death in 1899, age 52, birth ~1847, if this is correct it would likely reverse the common wisdom on their respective parents.
Thomas & Jane Viney appear in the 1871 census living in Houghton, Hampshire and then they moved to the IoW after 1871 and appear in subsequent census returns living in the area around Shorwell. They are my GG Grandparents.
Henry & Jane Stone appear in the 1871 & subsequent census returns in Broughton, Hampshire.
Does anyone have access to specific records that would confirm the parents of Jane Viney (née Hendley) and/or Jane Stone?
