There's an Edward W. Bratt mentioned in the 1839 Jamaica Almanac. His name is included in the Assistant Judges and Magistrates section for Vere parish, Jamaica.

Also, his name appears in a couple of April 1839 adverts (?) in the Morning Journal (Kingston).
Something about Puncheon flavoured rum. Hard to make out the garbled OCR text.

Vere Parish is interesting as the Sarah White Bratt I found was also in Vere Parish.
