My grandmother, was 45 in 1910 when she had her last child
My mother 41 when she had me.
Women can have children until after the Menopause ,which varies but mostly mid fifties  even then a pregnancy is rare but not impossible until the Menopause is complete.

Is this the possible birth of Rosetta Turner

TURNER, ROSETTA       mmn DOVER
GRO Reference: 1902  M Quarter in ISLINGTON  Volume 01B  Page 378

John

Looks good, still could be the child of Hester / Esther or Elizabeth May Dover, not found marriage or death for either yet.
Berks / Oxon: Eltham, Annetts, Wiltshire (surname not county), Hawkins, Pembroke, Partridge
Dorset / Hants: Derham, Stride, Purkiss, Sibley
Yorkshire: Pottage, Carr, Blackburn, Depledge
Sussex: Goodyer, Christopher, Trevatt
Lanark: Scott (soldier went to Jersey CI)
Jersey: Fowler, Huelin, Scott

I'm confused as to why people are researching Rosetta Turner, as I'm not currently looking into her. I already know that she was the daughter of Esther Eliza Dover (daughter of Rosannah) and her her husband William Taylor. The only person I need to figure out is Florrie Wade.

I have found a few workhouse records that may match, but cannot be sure.

Question #1: Which workhouse records have you found, and for what year(s)?

Question #2: Your avatar photo reminds me of an actress from the 1930s. Is the person in your avatar an ancestor? Just curious...

Waltham Forest Archives at Vestry House Museum may have some admissions registers for Pretoria Avenue schools
Including Girls' department, 1900-1905, 1905-1925

1931 Census

I mentioned Rosetta as it looked as though the Wades may have fostered children.  Rosetta is clearly shown as Turner although your reply says Esther Eliza married Taylor??    No Dover/Turner/Taylor marriage ??

Her birthplace is Bishops Stortford (Hertfordshire) on the 1911 entry.  However no birth reg etc in Herts as per my replies indicating - like Florrie - she may have been born under a different name.

That's not totally correct. He was actually Joshua Turner as per census below and his birth and his son's Frederick
