Benjamin Ward b Eastrington c 1811-1816

Hi trying to find a birth and marriage for a Benjamin Ward supposedly born Eastrington C 1811- 1816. On the 1841 census he is in Cawood Selby Yorks with wife Mary ? and 3 children. His birth is 1816 Yorkshire and Ag labourer.. on the 1851 it's 1812 Eastrington, labourer, 1861 he's a farmer but born 1814. He's still with Mary until 1871 census then he dies in Cawood 1874. I found a marriage to a Mary Braithwaite in 1834 but in Leeds but I don't think it's right. Any info would be great.

Have you confirmed Mary's maiden name by checking the children's birth registrations on GRO online?

There are a number of Benjamin Ward entries in the same age range - can you tell us how you determined the one b Eastrington is the right one?   Children's names?

William the son is recorded in 1851 census as aged 10 born Cawood.

He was baptised in Cawood on the 31st May 1840 parents Benjamin & Mary

Mother's maiden surnames didn't appear on Freebmd until around 1911/12
