He has a copy of his pre WW1 record , he joined the reserve Dec 1911. He doesn't have his WW1 records when he rejoined.

Did his pre war record give a place of birth

1911 census gave an age of 25 and birthplace of Hampsted (sic) Middlesex
All census look up transcriptions are Crown Copyright http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/

Only a mole on his right thigh. I have located his WW1 medal roll. He was in the 1st dragoons guards service number d940.
