Lighter skin allowed more vitamin D to be absorbed, so those with lighter skin fared better in the northern climates than those with darker skin.  I think I read somewhere that something in the diet of the Inuit supplied vitamin d in the past.  Today in Canada our milk is fortified, by law, with D so children get enough

Thank you everyone for your kind words last week. Sadly my dad passed away very early yesterday morning. Still a little numb but consoling myself that he is no longer suffering and gone to a happier place to be with my mum and brother.

I am sorry to read that jc,but as you feel ,he is with loved ones now.

Well Easter all over now ,hope everyone had some family contact if even a phone call was all that could be managed.

Summer is on its way , so lots to look forward to for many but sadness already with some , as we can see from posts.
Let’s hope things improve for those R,C, friends and other people we know .

Another week and my how they fly by .

Cheerio for now.
Viktoria.

I am off out to  meet a  friend by  bus, new timetables  take  place today, the  first bus out from here is 09.30, doesn't  seem to be one at 9am today  for the school children to get to the school where  I  get  on, my connection has  changed, a 45  minute ride  by  car  might take  me  2  hours each way but it will  be  nice to see a  friend  only seen twice  during the last 2  years or  more.

Weather  not  so good so  I  think an anorak is the  best idea for me as  I  might be standing around

Sounds as  if  you  had a really  nice  day with  FH  and  family Viktoria, I would  think you  might deserve a rest today

Have a nice day everyone
