Colourcoat Brusher
« on: Friday 22 April 22 22:02 BST (UK) »
Does anyone have any ideas about what this occupation in the 1939 Register might involve:
"Colourcoat Brusher Process Worker H W" ?

It's the occupation of a man living in Clock Face Road, St Helens. Other occupations on that page involve coal mining and an asbestos works.  I presume the HW relates to Heavy Work which is often specified in the Register.

Thanks

I think this may refer to a finishing process in the manufacture of galvanised steel.
