Hello,

My GGF lived in San Francisco in the late 1890s and was a Captain of a boat at the Pacific Yacht Club in Sausalito.  He died in 1896.  He also worked as a reporter at Meiggs Wharf the last few years before he passed.  He was married to Delia Carr and had 6 children. Looking for any information about him or the Pacific Yacht Club during this time.

I have also posted on the Isle of Jersey board as that where he was supposed to have immigrated from in the mid 1850s.
Thank you!
Hamon: Jersey Island; Carr: Galway, Ireland; Rooney: Galway, Ireland; Gallick: Mexico; Knoblauch: Poland; Gumpert: Poland

If you Google "Pacific Yacht Club" you'll see a mention or two in the Sausolito News c1895. I saw one Oct 1895 article image online. It's on the https://cdnc.ucr.edu/  site.
