Have you checked the two RMF records above (without service numbers), to determine if they could be the chap with the Queen's Mediterranean Medal?

Yes, looked at both, ages and dates are not right.

There is no link to be found - if he had joined the Munsters militia battalion after leaving the Rifles, he would have been given a new number. See my earlier reply. Not a huge coincidence. Just two men with the same initial and surname, having the same number in different regiments at different times. A small coincidence.
