Hi all,

I'm looking for information on my paternal grandmother Pamelia/Pamela Broome (b. 1930) and her family. I never knew my father, but have been doing my family research lately and wanted to find out more about my paternal family, but I'm stumped on his mother's family and can hardly find anything about them online other than her name and that they came from the Musselburgh region of Edinburgh.

It'd be appreciated if someone could share any information they have on Pamela's parents and their family. Thank you!

You need to use Scotland's people, not familysearch, ancestry/findmypast.

It's pay per record, but very good value

Was Broome her maiden name or her married name?  No birth in Scotland for that name & no marriage of a male Broome to a Pamela

There is a 1949 birth in Edinburgh of a male Broom (no e) but don't know if there is a connection.  Full details can't be given as he could still be alive

There is a marriage in 1989 of that person - spouse is Pamela

I have an Ancestry date for 1930, which would be accurate as my father was born in 1960. Broome was her maiden name and her married name is Colegrave.

The marriage was 1958 in Kent and she had 2 more christian names - she was Pamelia Pearl Doreen & died 14.12.2019
