Red House farm, Monkseaton
« on: Wednesday 04 May 22 14:18 BST (UK) »
Trying to find an image of Red House Farm, Monkseaton. I believe that the farm house / buildings were lost in the development of the farm in the 1970s / 80s

Hi,

If you use Facebook, there are a couple of photos on the Monkseaton Facebook page.

Haven't found a photo, but you may be interested in a report of a major fire at Red House Farm Monkseaton (in occupation of Mr STOBBS) in 1889.

Thank you all for replying.

fiddlerslass -- I have looked through these excellent books in the past without success.

maddys52 -- I have seen this article in the past when searching thorough local newspapers.

Trini -- I don't use Facebook but my wife does. She joined the Monkseaton Village Facebook group last evening and found the images that you mentioned. She also posted a short request and she has received many replies with a variation of images.

Once again, thank you all.

Allan

this is an image posted on Facebook so in theory you need to contact the owner if you intend to use it for any other purpose other than your own personal use

Thank you for posting the image. A great shame that it no longer exists.
