Need help finding John Rees roots in Carmarthenshire
« on: Wednesday 04 May 22 22:38 BST (UK) »
Hi Folks,

So I'm researching John Rees, born in Carmarthenshire in about 1795, according to Cambria County, Pennsylvania naturalization records. He married Hannah or Anna in Wales and had the following children in Wales: John J. Rees (born about 1825), Mary Rees (born about 1828), David Rees (born about 1818), and Samuel Rees (possibly born in the US). They emigrated in about 1837. Help! I'm coming up with TONS of possibilities and can't narrow it down because of my lack of knowledge about the geography. I believe they come from the northern part of the old county...bordering Cardiganshire.

Thanks in advance for any insights.

Oh, and I think he had a brother named Enoch Rees, born in 1782 in Carmarthenshire.
