Place Name Help Wanted
« on: Friday 06 May 22 09:42 BST (UK) »
Could anyone identify the place name please.

I thought it began with Do but based on the the Fathers 2nd name it looks like an e (written backwards) so De. Tried various options but having no luck identifying it. Most of the family members are based in or around Stainforth, Fishlake & Hatfield.

Thanks

The word on the page is written as Denneby.
So possibly Denaby?

I've always found GENUKI a good source of information - especially Yorkshire.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Denaby would fit with the one that also shows Mexbrough and Swinton.
