Commonwealth War Graves Commission are appealing for relatives of Corporal Albert (Bert) Goldsack - service no 9183 - Regiment -  'The Buffs' (East Kent Regiment) - Division: 2nd Battalion.

The private memorial marking the grave of Corporal Albert Goldsack no longer provides adequate commemoration.  The Commission are in the process of producing a new headstone to mark his grave.

There are quite a few Goldsacks listed in recent electoral rolls for Canterbury. I don't quite understand what the procedure is for this - can the CWGC not trace people, or is that what Sandra is doing?
Pay, Kent
Codham/Coltham, Kent
Kent, Felton, Essex
Staples, Wiltshire

With the new GDPR regulations (2018 if I remember correctly) CWGC are unable to instigate contact with anyone without their permission.

Are the Goldsacks on the electoral rolls for Canterbury related to this branch ?
The only way we can make sure is to try and work forwards without naming living people.

There are about 20 anc trees so we may find a close relative that way.

That is correct, also 20 trees on ancestry (as in reply 5) with similar information.
Trying to contact a close relative thru those. Fingers crossed. (Some may lead to NZ)
