See Gertrude was 13yrs older than him and a widow

Marriage not on Ancestry - don't know about other sites.  To look it up in parish records you need to know which church it was in.  If it was a civil marriage it can't be looked up & you would have to buy the cert

Gertrude's first husband, who interestingly was 50 years her senior, died 13th Dec 1938.
Gertrude married Cyril Noel L'Angellier  Qtr 4 1939. Their first son David was born Qtr 3 1940
So, in a little over 18 months, Gertrude was widowed, married again, and a mother for the first time.
Finding actual dates for these events would be the icing on the cake.
Gertrude and Cyril had three children in total.
