I suspect the reason that you couldn't view the familysearch.org URL is lack of an account.

Thank you Mabel, I'll look into that possibility as one of his sons was called George which would make sense if it was after his dad or brother.

Also I was wondering if it was common for travellers to have an alias or use other names. On the 1921 census Letitia is living with yet another man and this time named John Barker. It says they are married but her surname is still Walker. However my mum has a photo of Letitia, William Kennaird and their children in 1921 all living together. The census says John Barker was born in the same year as William Kennaird so I was wondering if it was possible that he used an alias? No one has any idea who John Barker is.
