He could have been, but there's no record of it in the index at Scotland's People. What have you found?
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Double checked it. Don't think it is him. Have you found Margaret Elsie or is she a mystery also? When & where was she born?

Yes, she is, a bit.

According to her age on her marriage certificate she was born in 1919/1920, daughter of George Cochran White, hotel proprietor, and Elsie May Roberts. I have not found their marriage.

There are some plain Margarets born in Scotland 1918-1921, but no Margaret Elsies at that time. Not even a plain Margaret in England and Wales. And no possibles in Ireland.

Come to that, I've yet to find the death of GJLT's first wife Christina Speirs Baillie.
