Newlyn - Fred & Gladys Marriage and Surname Request

Hi.  I have a photo in my late grandmother's album of a married couple.
On the reverse it states
"Gladys & Fred
St Peters Church Newlyn
Aug 5th 1935"
Unfortunately there are no surnames!!!
I have tried some online searches just looking for a Gladys and a Fred, but quite a daunting number of entries.
Can anyone point me in a good direction to try and find out who these people are, and any surnames would be a good start!
