Help Needed - Need source for Bishop's Transcripts entry
« on: Sunday 15 May 22 13:17 BST (UK) »
I will confess to sloppy record-keeping!  Hope you will help me out.

My working papers note the birth of a George Weedon in 1632 in Rickmansworth, the information source being 'Bishop's transcripts'.

Can anyone point me to the original entry in the so-called Bishops transcripts, please.

Heaps of praise to the sleuth who can help!

Best

Robert Peter Weedon

familysearch.org have the films of the Rickmansworth Bishops Transcripts.
Unfortunately they are locked, which means you can only view them at an LDS library.
There is a search facility on the film though. However. no baptism for a George Wheedon in 1632 shows up in the indexing.
A few Wheedon families do show up, but not the baptism of George.
In my experience, this does not necessarily mean it's not there! I have found many events not indexed in a film by searching the actual film.
