Good Morning All, Just checking on my records of Mary Green born 19/9/1739 Great Torrington Devon parents Roger and Dorothy. Mary Green married a Samuel Lake on the 19/9/1754 by Banns Torrington Devon I have his burial date 8/1/1781 Great Torrington, searching for Mary Lake's death date, have searched FreeReg etc, with no luck, I like to make sure of the dates. :-[

Regards,
Janet :-\

Hello
Not got the burials of either Samuel or Mary but there is or was a Will for Samuel 1781 and and Admin for a Mary Lake of Great Torrington 1799 .
So it could well be her in 1799 .

How sad, the will for Samuel and administration for Mary were both held in Exeter, and they were destroyed in a WW2 fire.  :'(

Added:  FindMyPast have the index, and for both Samuel and Mary the reference is BECK.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
