There is a Mr. R M Quinn arriving in Melbourne from Calcutta in April 1912.

There is correspondence from Roland to the Conrad's daughter in the possession of Clarice Anne's brother's family. There is other correspondence to the family earlier than 1912, so the mystery now is how he became acquainted with this Tasmanian family while he was still serving in India.

Had you read the AAF record for the son of Henry BICKHAM named Charles Henry BICKHAM.
KIA in Belgium

You will find it on the National Archives of Aust site, the link for which you already have.

On page 40 of the digitised document, you will see that the soldier's will was entrusted to R M QUINN.

Surname QUINN but initials not correct.
