Noteworthy deaths of philosophers
« on: Monday 30 May 22 13:42 BST (UK) »
While doing something serious I came across this.  Bizarre but true.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deaths_of_philosophers#:~:text=1900%20%E2%80%93%20Friedrich%20Nietzsche%20died%20after,1906%20%E2%80%93%20Ludwig%20Boltzmann%20hanged%20himself.

(I suppose Freud died after an accidental slip.)

I then got sidetracked and found a longer list.

Other web pages are available...

You know that the longer list is a set of jokes?

Yes, absolutely.  I just wish I knew more about philosophy to fully understand them!

They are mostly professional in-jokes; I wouldn’t worry about not getting them. Apart from being widely accessible, your nice suggestion about Freud was in the spirit of the second list, not the first.
