Mitchell in Uk1939 Register
« on: Friday 03 June 22 07:35 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find a Mitchell family in the 1939 Uk Register.
They were living in Colaton Raleigh, Devon and I am having trouble with the number for this area in the 1939 Register.    I have limited info for this family but briefly the family had 2 Daughters and 1 son.
Thank you

Some forenames might help us to help you.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!
If you don't ask the question, you won't get an answer.

If you insert Colaton Raleigh into the Optional Keyword Search box for 1939 Register - with no other information - search gives 69 results - but none of these are Mitchells  :-\

District would be St Thomas R.D. (Rural District).

Hi

We are not allowed to post info from the 1939 register that is only available via subscription (eg) birthdates, address, occupation etc.  We can give general guidance to help you find them yourself.

If you have full access to the 1939 register  - just search using their names rather than trying to find the area

Thank you all for your replies.

My interest in this family is because I believe they accepted evacuees in ww2,
2 of these (brother & sister) are in my family history.

As far as christian names for the Mitchells I have are Flo, Joan, & John. but they not be accurate.

I have tried looking at the 1939 register but can't find a household with any or all these names.
Thank you

If your evacuees were children in 1939, their birth years were after 1922. There is a 100 year rule for viewing records so their names would have been redacted.
