Hi,

According to Findmypast the person I am looking for is on Page 892 of the document detailed in the attachment.

When I clicked to view the image, I got page 868 and could not get any of the pages further on.

The person I was searching for was Joan West, who must have enlisted in the early months of 1941 to be included in this document.

Any help to see the right page would be much appreciated.

Hi,
They are confusing numbers, you can get to page 892 by pressing "next" at the top but that brings you to Australian servicemen.
The only possible I could find was a Miss Joan Marjorie West enrolled 1938 Princess Marys RAF Nursing Corps. Just realised  NOT the Navy....sorry
Hopefully some other Rootschatter might have a better idea.

Not page 892 but image 892. Page 868 of that Navy List is image 892. So no discrepancy there.

The way that FindMyPast has indexed these books you would get a hit if "Joan" and "West" appeared on the same page.

Only officers would be listed in the Navy List. Was Joan West a Wren officer?

Thanks for the replies.

I just noticed that the list was of officers - I'm not sure about that. She married a Commander RN in 1942/3. I think they were serving in the Mediterranean.
