Burial records
« on: Thursday 16 June 22 12:38 BST (UK) »
Hey all…

My cousin is trying to find out where her sister was buried. Elizabeth died in infancy at only 2 days old. I have her death certificate from Scotlands people but no details of where she’s interred. Is there anywhere I can search?

Elizabeth Dalgleish
B/D 9/11 November 1967
Robroyston Hospital, Glasgow.

Her grandparents were buried at St Convals cemy, Barrhead.

You should determine their religious denomination, if any. That may narrow the search.
Look for where other family members are buried. You may be able to use Findagrave, or Billiongraves websites to help with that. Or look for family funeral notices in Evening Times, Citizen or Herald.
Sighthill or Lambhill Cemeteries are closest to that Hospital, but that may be no indication of burial location.
Of course, it may have been a cremation...
NEILSON - Erskine/Bishopton, Renfrewshire and Glasgow
BROWN - Hamilton, Lanarkshire
CAIRNS - Hamilton, Lanarkshire
FINDLAY - Kirriemuir area, Forfarshire/Angus
PORTER - Tobermore, Derry, Ireland

Thanks. I know there were Catholic and lived in Maryhill at the time. I’ve called St Convals and they haven’t got her. I’m trying Dalbeth and St Kentigerns. The only other family members I know location for is my Aunties parents who were buried in St Convals.

I was born in Robroyston Hospital in 58 I would think the nearest council non denominational housing all faiths would be Riddrie park cem in Provanmill and Catholic would be St Kentigerns/Lambhill (closest to Maryhill if not at St Conval's) but also look at Dalbeth on London Rd.

FOUND HER!

Thank you all.. found her in St Kentigerns… had to go through the day books as the records for burials of children  between 1957-1969 are all fire damaged.
