a tree at ancestry says Mary Maher died in 1953. No location, no source.
They might be looking at the death of
Mary Maher, age 56, Registration District: Cork, 3rd Qtr of 1953. Vol 5, Page 94.

but I would guess that there was more than one Mary Maher born in Cork about the year 1896.

The Massachusetts death index has a Hannah Maher who died in Boston in 1930.  No maiden name is shown on the index, so Maher would seem to be her maiden name.  Not sure if she's yours, but maybe.

The Massachusetts death index has a Hannah Maher who died in Boston in 1930.  No maiden name is shown on the index, so Maher would seem to be her maiden name.  Not sure if she's yours, but maybe.

According to cemetery records, the owner of the plot where Hannah was buried was an Ernest Dixey.

===========

This would be him in the 1930 census, living in Boston and widowed.

1930 census: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XQR8-FG6

His wife was a Katherine Maher. They married in 1912 & she died in 1917.

Marriage: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:Q282-JPXG

Death: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KBZB-YR3

Her parents are listed as William Maher & Anna Pittman, which differs from the parents given for Hannah & Mary. Are they related?

This is interesting. Catherine Dixey, who died in 1917 was buried beside Hannah in Oct. 1930. Hannah was buried in June 1930. Was Catherine moved from her previous burial spot in 1917, so  she could lay beside Hannah, thus moved in Oct 1930. Catherine's death record states she was buried at New Calvary Cemetery in Feb. 1917.

GIS ID   PATN-232
Plot Owner Name   DIXEY, ERNEST
Deceased Name   DIXEY, CATHERINE
Notes
Deceased First Name   CATHERINE

Catherine's death notice in the newspaper doesn't provide any relevant additional information.

May come to nothing but worth a look....Took another look at the passenger list arrival in 1921 on the Cedric.  Both girls intended to go to cousin Annie O'Sullivan. Springhill, Storrs, Eagleville, Willimantic. Connecticut.

It would seem that Annie O Sullivan was the daughter of James O'Sullivan and his wife Hannah Maher. James born 1852 Ireland died in 1912

This was his obituary :-
