James W Bigger
« on: Monday 27 June 22 08:07 BST (UK) »
I am hoping to find information on James W Bigger ( I think the W is for Walker ) b 1939 Northern Ireland   d 2006 I think he died in Worksop Nottinghamshire .  I don’t have much information on him , nor what part of  Northern Ireland he came from.  He married.  Maureen E Mann in Worksop Notts in 1953.   They had 3 children.  James. Selena & Elizabeth .
Not much information I know but hoping I can get a lead on his family in Northern Ireland .
Appreciate any help.   Many thanks Tineke

If James was born in 1939 there's a good chance his children are still alive so you need to remove their names (as well as his wife's) unless you are sure they are also deceased.

1939 is too recent for online births but James' marriage certificate should list his father's name and occupation (unless he was illegitimate). If his father was also born in Ireland then there are other resources (1911 and 1911 census records, vital records, GRONI index, newspaper articles, etc.) you can use to trace the family back.

In 1911 census there are 140 indexed as Bigger- 56 in Co. Antrim, 7 in Co. Down, 9 in Co. Londonderry, 16 in Co. Tyrone with the remainder in what is now the Republic of Ireland.

Different area, but if the same chap, the GRO index suggests a 1930 birth

That is the GRO death index for 2006, which also notes birth year.
