My great uncle William Horace Searls married a Elsie L Young in 1950 in Wandsworth, i have been trying to find the names of Elsie's parents, she could have born about 1912/13 the family think she could have born in Poplar, but this we are not sure of,can any one help with this quest.

Have you the marriage certificate which should name her father? 
Witness names can also be helpful.

Have you looked for her birth on the Free BMD index?  You can search England/Wales using name, location, birth year  :)

There was an Elsie L V Young born in Poplar in 1912. 
Hinchliffe - Huddersfield Wiltshire
Burroughs - Arlingham Glos
Pick - Frocester Glos

I see she was in Kent in the 1950's,  Was she still alive when William died.

1939 has birth year as 1906

Possible son 1932, he would tie in with one of the persons living in Wigan with Elsie prior to her death

No i do not have a marriage certificate.
Elsie died in 1958 in willesden and William died in 1989 these facts i know from my late Grandmother who was William's sister. It is just her correct birth and parents i cannot find
I have looked on FREEBMD and could only find Elsie L V on checking her out she is not the same Elsie
They did not have any children
