Just adding to the details for Elsie Lilian Slade /Young /Searls
In 1921 she is in Toxteth Park, Lancashire with a Frances Jane Pendleton bn 1867 Reading.


I can't see the death that you mention in 1958

I do not have Williams will, and as for Elsie's death i just have date given to me by my grandmother,
the information about the Lancashire connections are not connected as they lived in the London area all their lives.
All i was trying to find out was her actual birth and her parents,you are totally on the wrong family with Elsie Lilian Slade.
My Grandmother said they never had children because when they married in 1950 they were both in their thirties and they felt it was to late in life to start a family.

Re that Willesden death mentioned by William.
Elsie Lilian Searle died Central Middlesex Hospital, 22 Oct 1958, was a spinster according to her entry on the probate calendar.

It may be an idea to get Williams will in case there are any clues about her on there.  Alternatively his death certificate may mention his marital status

I know my late uncle was doing the family tree, many years ago, so maybe found the death for
elsie lilian Searls and took it to be his aunt wife of his Uncle William and as he was living with his mother at that time, he may have told her this and that was why she believed she died in 1958, as both are now dead cannot ask them.
The address266 Manchester rd Cubitt town was the area that Williams parents lived they lived at
378 Manchester Rd.
Will now start a fresh search for Elsie's death around Orpington, as she was living there in 1964/65

The date of birth on that death registration is 1 Sep 1906 which is the same date of birth given in the 1939 register where she is noted as having a later surname of SEARLS.  The surname change is dated 1950.
