I am beginning to wonder now if William was Elsie's second husband, Evelyn Furness Young was her first Husband and that is why i have struggled to find her birth in Poplar.
Thanks

That birth has been suggested in post 5  :)

I am beginning to wonder now if William was Elsie's second husband, Evelyn Furness Young was her first Husband and that is why i have struggled to find her birth in Poplar.
Thanks

That is what I suspect may have happened, the information I have posted previously would back that up.  The marriage to your William may solve that.

Will go to my local library next time i go into my local town shopping, and look up 1939 register. and i will look for the newspaper articles.

You may need your library to have access to BNA (and then you will still need to log in to it as a registered user), because even if they have findmypast, it may not include access to the newspapers on there.

As Rosie said, just register with BNA, no financial details needed at all, and you get three articles for free :)
