1841 Census Address
« on: Sunday 10 July 22 08:01 BST (UK) »
Hi

I am trying to decipher the address of my 3xgt-grandparents on the 1841 Census.

The place is Bedbrook, which is on a lane, which runs southwards from Burlescombe, Devon, UK.

A copy of the address from the original 1841 document is attached.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Gordon

Can you give us the reference or the name of the people. The extract here is very blurry and expanding it just makes it worse.

Looks like
Contn.............
Bedbrook

ie Continuation.

ETA to correct spelling of location

Surely it says Bedbrook on the bottom line.

Look for Maria Gallop living in Burlescombe in 1841

Looks like Pont Lake Bridge, Bedbrook.

There was a pond, and a bridge, and a cottage just there: https://maps.nls.uk/view/105999872#zoom=7&lat=1475&lon=6815&layers=BT
