Scottish WW2 Register?

Hi

Could someone please tell me if Scotland had a register as England had in WW2, if not how did they know to give out ration cards etc.

If you mean the 1939 Register, yes, the same information exists for Scotland, but it has not been made freely available like the England and Wales information.

Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.
