Vol 10 of Hasted's topographical survey refers to Martin Long's "mural monument" in St Lawrence Church.

Google Books has a searchable version of Zecheriah Cozen's "A tour through the isle of Thanet ..." published 1793. It includes Captain Long's memorial (page 51) - and his sisters Elizabeth and Catherine.

Thank you  :)... These monumental inscriptions from 'A tour through the isle of Thanet' are also transcribed on KAS

Searched Kent Archives for possible deed reference and got lucky with the Pysing name. Turns out Pysing is near Dover.

7 acres (Clayey Land) and land in Buckland as described in EK/U2246/3/T1/1-4
Also, farmhouse and 42 acres (leased to William Prescott); 35 acres; and 3 acres of arable land (known as Pysing), all in Guston.

It makes me think that it may be a different property to Pyson/s which George Norton was in occupation of in 1746.  Pysing seems a bit far from where he lived if he was working the land.
NORTON (Kent), KEECH (Dorset), MOOR / MOORE (Kent), HOCKING (Dorset / Somerset), LEVI (City of York), SANDWELL (Kent), CHAFFIN  (Dorset / Somerset), STRONG (Dorset)

I thought the Dover references (Guston, Langdon and Pin(e)ham) referred to "Little Pysing"?
