Photograph - identification of Unit/Regiment
« on: Saturday 16 July 22 23:27 BST (UK) »
Help I am only trying to identify the soldiers Regiment in the attached pictures.  It is a massive long shot.  I believe he is serving with a Territorial Royal Field Artillery.  But I just cannot make out what it says under what I thing is T RFA.  I know he is a farrier and the white lanyard indicates Artillery.
He has two good conduct stripes.  If anyone can identify any more I would be grateful.  I will not be disappointed if not.

It's quite possible it says London.
The only info I can give is that his rank is Driver.
2 chevrons indicates 6 years service.
Her hairstyle suggests a date of around 1910-12.
I can't id the arm patch.

Hi Jim1
Thank you for the update.
I have blown up the picture and the badge on the other arm I think is farriers badge.
I have had a guess at the Regimental badge it looks like T RFA (possibly) HANTS
I know around 1914-1916 The HANTS Territorial RFA had a training depot just a few miles outside of Winchester at HURSLEY  Village.

If only these old photographs could talk

It didn't look to me like a horseshoe but here's another
similar shot of a Farriers badge which looks identical so must be.
