Another interesting Lott-Hopkins link

https://newspapers.library.wales/view/4347890/4347893/15/lott%20AND%20Goitrewen

TBW Lott was being chased for rates for Goitrewen, which was occupied by a Mr Hopkins

There's also a marriage in 1874 for a Martha Lott, daughter of the late TBW Lott of Goitrewen, to Joshua Broad Excell. I can see he married again

There's a reference to Dr Hopkin and his wife living at Goitrewen - which was held in trust by Mr W Lott Hopkin for Mrs Hopkin

Post #9 above - the COFIANT/COMMEMORATION claims she married 1815 (unodd mewn undeb priodasol). It also includes -

"Mrs Lott ... was the daughter of Mr and Mrs Morgan Hopkins, formerly of Estom-henlle, parish of Llanelli, Carmarthenshire"

"Mrs Hopkins died 30 March 1841" - but struggling to find a death/burial for a Margaret Hopkin/s that fits this date.

"... Mrs Lott was born on the 18th of November in the year 1789"

"... our dear sister died three o'clock in the morning of Saturday, 16th July 1842"

Not sure if this is related, but Seren Gomer reports a  marriage at Bethania, Llanon on 12 Feb 1841 between  the Rev Joseph Evans, Capel Seion and Mrs Hopkins, widow of the late Morgan Hopkins Esq, Bryngwenyn, Llanon

Added: marriage possibly in 1840, according to a summary of the life of Rev Evans written in 1885.  My only doubt that this is the right Mrs Hopkins is that he was b 1802 and they had a son. She was described as a rich widow

On the  Lott alias Hopkin girls, we have evidence Ruth went through a chapel ceremony in 1815 and a church one in 1822. I think the latter was the only one legally recognised at that time?
