"Henry & John appeared together in court"

Who is John?

If Henry Lee - convict - died 1862 - so did Henry born 1789

Brothers --
Henry Lee born  1803 Spitalfields  -sent NSW 1821
and  John born 1804 London   were convicts  sent to NSW . Snet to NSW 1819
Both on the Grenada
I have Henry tracked right to his death in Little River Victoria  but John   has possibly ended up on Norfolk Island for reoffending   after leaving Newcastle .  I lost him   going into Sydney goal about 1831.

I can prove  HENRY LEE JNR born 1803 SPITALFIELDS  up to his death  in Victoria Australia .
I have lost his brother John  who was also a convict both came to Aust on the same Ship  GRENADA

But John continued to reoffend in  Aust  and got  sent to Newcastle and  possible ended up on Norfolk Island i am waiting for Tasmania Library  to have  a look as i  have record that is almost illegible  but it   poss says sent to  N .I    after he and another guy got 50 lashes.  Not long beofre his ticket of freedom

Parents Henry  and MARY  to my knowledge born and died England but cant prove anything about them really as they re are so many  of them .

Criminal register entry show Henry Lee 15 & John Lee 16 appearing in court in 1819 for larceny.  If they were brothers it makes it most unlikely that the Henry Lee who died 1862 in the WH was their father.

As previously stated - his birthyear was approx 1789 so any "wife" would have been the same age or even younger

Yep cant prove much about Henry Snr and Mary atm

That's a good spot :)
It confirms though that we won't be able to see Henry in the 1861 census, as he was in the workhouse (with the missing pages). That would have given his occupation.

As Carole has said, his age is a problem.
Can he be found in 1851?

Thanks Jonw

More by accident than design  for sure  lololol
Ill go back an re check the census   tomorrow.

Of course i  still cant be sure it is  the correct Henry  Lee , Father of Henry and John , i have looked all over the place for the boys Baptisms, and have actually been wondering if perhaps they were  originally  from a Romany family.
