Angus Jr is born Sept 1912 in Watt St and Annie is not his mother, he is illegitimate
Which RD is Watt St & who is his mother?

Is this him?

MACDONALD/PAUL ANGUS - 1912 - 644/17 1153 Gorbals

Are you a descendant of Angus Jr?

Hi Rosinish

Watt St is the gorbals district. His bio mother is Isabella McNeil Paul but he was raised by Annie. Angus jr is my step dad's dad. The story is that Isabella died during/after child birth but the 1 i found died in 1915 due to childbirth but different area and no mention of Mc/MacDonalds. The other Isabella died in 1946 i think

Only two births ever recorded with the full names of Isabella McMcNeil Paul. So similar in details, how to tell the difference  ::)

Isabella McNeil Paul b. 1890 in Dennistoun
Isabella McNeil Paul b. 1892 in Blythswood

One marriage:

Isabella McMcNeil Paul and James McDonald married in 1916 in Milton

Two deaths:

Isabella McNeil Paul, aged 23 died in 1915 in Eastwood. Mother's maiden name McKee.
Isabella McNeil Paul/McDonald, aged 56, died in 1947 in Possilpark.

Do you have any thoughts on which is the correct mother for Angus Jnr.?

Monica

They never married. I have the death reg for the one that died in Eastwood which states child birth 1 day and what looks like culvultions 1 day but no mention of any McDonalds and that was in 1915, so 3 years after Angus.

I still cant find what happened to John after the 1901 census.

I have struggled to find anything on John too post 1901  :-\

What were the names of the parents for Isabella who died in 1915? Were they Walter Paul and Ann Jane McKee?

Are you thinking that Angus Jnr could have been living with Isabella up to her death and after her death was raised by Angus Snr and his new wife?

Walter & Annie Paul are the parents.

Im not sure, i know Angus referred to Annie as his mum and her surname comes up when you search his death on SP.

I dont know how it would have worked back in 1912 as far as raising a child out of wedlock, etc goes ?
